Transcendental truths versus Realities

In Israel many people seem highly concerned by the lot of Gilad Shalit meanwhile Jonathan Pollard seems to be forgotten; both are victims of transcendental truths and of their corollary cold calculations made above individual rights.

The special severe treatment of Jonathan Pollard is now underlined by the recent arrest of 10 Russian spies in USA who were diligently freed by US Authorities. Transcendental truths may generate a deficit in ethics regarding individual rights since they are assumed to be beyond the individual condition.

I-Jonathan Pollard –Israel, USA, the Russian Spies and others

Jonathan Pollard a former US Intelligence officer was concerned as Jew by Israel Security always presented as a vital challenge for him. He thought that information regarding Israel security was retained by USA despite Israel is an ally of USA. He took the initiative to transmit information to Israel and was then arrested in 1985 and condemned by US Justice to life imprisonment. We may wonder how long could have been the imprisonment sentence if information would have been transferred to a hostile country.

Jonathan Pollard was encouraged by Israel to transfer information but nevertheless his arrest was cynically eased by Israel Embassy in USA, whose staff pushed him out in the hands of FBI. This dreamer victim of an Israeli mythology was then trapped by the Queen and the Bishop. Israel started to support Jonathan Pollard by way of protests only after his arrest.

This underlines how far is the interest of individuals from the interest of sellers of transcendental truths.

Jonathan Pollard has now wasted 25 years of his life in a US Jail and may die there. Paradoxically ten Russian spies were recently arrested in USA and immediately freed. The duty of these spies was in favor of Russia at any cost for USA. Russia hardly accepts not to be anymore a world leader and shows from time to time an open adverse position against USA as this is illustrated by the presence of this Spies nest.

Despite the fact that Israel is an ally of USA Jonathan Pollard is in Jail and the Russian spies are free.

Transcendental truths may thus be far from basic Ethics and individuals should consider with a high skepticism the sellers of these truths.

The sentence against Jonathan Pollard is the heaviest possible before death penalty and is also a worrying additional fact for human rights in USA since he did not kill anybody and did not impair the US interests with a potential hostile country as Russia. Jonathan Pollard was sentenced to life jail similarly to a murderer as Charles Manson.

Regarding Charles Manson, we may note that he would be authorized to request to be freed from 2012 meanwhile his victim Roman Polansky is sought restlessly since 1977 by the US justice. It must be also noted that the assumed victim of Roman Polansky, whose childhood was ruined by the Nazis, never complained since 1977.

This also shows that the Nations selling transcendental truths might also lack of balance sense. As a matter of fact the taste of USA for death penalty and free access to arms is inherited from its Wild West History, which also influences its world perception.

II - Gilad Shalit, Hamas and Israel

Gilad Shalit is French and Israeli born in Israel where his parents decided to live; after High School he was thus obliged as native to serve the army. He was kidnapped as young soldier on Gaza border in 2006 by members of a group linked to Hamas. This group had prepared the kidnapping operation during 2 months and utilized a tunnel whose drilling requested approximately 6 months.

Israeli intelligence services were unaware neither of the kidnapping preparation, nor of the drilling of the tunnel. This lack of efficiency is the root of the problem, which is continuing up to now. Since 2006 the Israeli intelligence services were not able to localize Gilad Shalit who is emprisoned (in Gaza) at a few kilometers from Tel Aviv in an area surrounded by Israeli army and which is not bigger than 360 km2 i.e. approximately 40 kmX9 km.

The military operation of June 2006 “Summer Rains” to rescue Gilad Shalit was vain, except for casualties with 200 killed people and 800 injured.

In 2007 Hamas proposed to exchange Gilad Sahlit against 1000 prisoners. The price may appear high but there are no other options since Israel failed in military and intelligence operations regarding Gilad Shalit ‘s rescue.

The freedom of this young citizen is priceless and urgent.

It must be noted that in 1998, 2000 and 2004 Israel has freed prisoners in exchange of corpses. We think that people alive as fortunately Gilad Shalit should have priority since freedom is quite useless for corpses.

If Israeli citizens continue to maintain pressure, the Israeli Government may finally decide to take the necessary steps to obtain the freedom of Gilad Shalit who already waste 4 years of his young life but but Jonathan Pollard trapped by the Israeli dream should not be forgotten. The collective action of individuals may correct the adverse effects of transcendental truths against each of them.

CONCLUSION

We thus saw in the examples of individuals, victims together of their jailors and of the songs of Mermaids of transcendental truths , how a collective action of individuals might correct the adverse effects of transcendental truths against each of them.

It appears that the transcendental truths are misleading when they pretend to be beyond the human condition such as nationalisms or religions. Their assumed poetic and mythological aspect is a fragile esthetic make up targeting to increase their attractiveness and which tends to disappear in front of individual reality.

It seems prudent to restrict our belief in transcendental truths to those which relate to the improvement of human condition with respect of individual rights as corner stone.
